Brief description:
Blea Moor Tunnel north portal Lamp Hut: Context view from the north-east (1980s)
The black wooden hut visible in this photograph stands on the site of, and replaced, the 'oil store' depicted at this location on the 1911 landplan. The black wooden hut has itself now been demolished, although its concrete base was still visible in July 2014.
The exact date of this photograph is not known, but it was taken during the first half of 1980s.
