Settle Carlisle Railway Conservation Area (SCRCA) The locomotive shed (for the construction-era tramway locomotives) was demolished when the site was cleared at the end of construction works. However, its site can still be identified by the long, thin, grass-covered linear depression in the ground that is visible in the large image below (leading-up from the bottom edge, slightly to the right of centre).

Protection Details
The site of the tramway locomotive shed lies inside the boundary of the Settle Carlisle Railway Conservation Area and inside the boundary of the "Ribblehead railway construction camp and prehistoric field system" Scheduled Ancient Monument. The latter is covered by List Entry Number (LEN) 1015726.
